If anyone likes a good manicure, it’s this lady.
However, instead of spending a couple of dollars a week on a nice manicure, my dollars go elsewhere (e.g: diapers!). I do give myself the luxury of getting a mani-pedi every once in a while though… like three times a year.
So what do I do in the meantime? I either…
A) Don’t do anything at all.
B) Do a ten minute mini manicure during the children’s nap time.
C) Paint my nails during my break at work.
I like B.
I recently painted my nails with the Mary Kay Sweet Lilac nail polish using the Deborah Lippmann Gel Lab kit. There is actually a new version to this kit called the Gel Lab Pro which is even more amazing. However, I still own the Gel Lab and so I shall use it 🙂
I used the Deborah Lippmann nail polish remover to, well, remove the nail polish I previously had.
Now, let’s talk benefits!
Deborah Lippmann Gel Lab: This line is amazing! Deborah’s nail polish is free of formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, DBP and camphor. All ingredients that are not good for you. As you may or may not know, our nails absorb what is on them. So if you have yucky chemicals on your nail polish, your nails will absorb those chemicals. Also, there is no animal testing! Hooray for the animals ❤ The gel lab kit makes your manicure look like you’ve just had a professional gel manicure without the bad chemicals and a trip to the nail salon. You can find the Gel Lab Pro here or the Gel Lab here.
The Stripper: This nail polish remover is $19 well spent! Remember what I said about our nails absorbing products? Well, the stripper not only does a great job at removing the nail polish you have on but it also hydrates your skin with lavender and aloe. It is also free of parabens and sulfates and has a spill-proof twist-lock pump. You can find it here.
Aaaaaaand here is the finished product:
I do a lot of chores at home and from doing the dishes to dusting and moping, my nails can easily chip. However, with Gel Lab, my nails last way more than what they used to. Definitely one of my favorite products!
No need to thank me 😉 hehe.
